To all who are weary and seek rest

To all who mourn and seek comfort

To all who struggle and desire victory

To all who are strangers and want fellowship

To all who thirst after righteousness

This Church opens wide her doors and offers

Her welcome in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ

History  (20th century)

The Church continued with its Evangelical Tradition under successive Pastors. In the 1970's, there was a merger in our country of the Presbyterian and Congregational Churches forming the 'United Reformed Church'.

The Diaconate of our Church at that time, along with many other Congregational Churches decided that they would like to remain Independent continuing in the Congregational Tradition and Doctrine.

They decided to join 'The Evangelical Fellowship of Congregational Churches (E.F.C.C.) Worldwide'.  This enabled them to remain independent and self supporting but have the affiliation and support of a worldwide body of Churches in the E.F.C.C.

Some Pastorates lasted for only a short time, others for much longer, with the continued support of the local farming community.

Under the present Pastorate, the Chapel continues in the work of the Lord, reaching out to all peoples in need locally and farther afield in Missionary work where the Lords work is undertaken

Perhaps the poem on our Church door says it all (see above)
